How to import a database into cpanel

phpMyAdmin

phpMyAdmin is a great program that helps you interact with your databases. We prefer to use phpMyAdmin for all our database processing tasks as it has an easy to use interface and allows all our developers to learn the one system. Exporting out a database

Please read our exporting out a database post in regards to the correct way that we export our databases. If you haven't followed those instructions, your database may not import correctly.

Importing a database through cpanel summary

  1. Log into your cpanel account by visiting yourdomain.com.au/cpanel.
  2. Click on phpMyAdmin.
  3. Click on your desired database.
  4. Click on the Import tab.
  5. Click browse and select your exported database file.
  6. Click Go.
